Join us for an afternoon of discovery as we uncover the stories of the site’s past, explore exciting archaeological finds and find out what they reveal about the development of Methil Mill through history. Meet our archaeology team, Paul & Madison and hear about their latest discoveries and get the chance to ask your questions. Whether you’re passionate about local history, curious about archaeology or simply keen to learn something new about the archaeology found on your doorstep, there’s something for everyone! Get up close to a fascinating collection of artefacts discovered through multiple community excavations, field schools and our Archaeology Employability Programme. Each find offers a glimpse into the past, helping us piece together the story of Methil Mill and the people connected to it! The open day is free to attend and no ticket required! If you’d like to explore the site in more detail, we’ll also be running a series of short, 20-minute guided tours throughout the afternoon.
