The Radiant Mama Festive Auction Of Promises - Celebrating 25 Years

An evening of unique and exciting promises at the Green Table, raising £6k so we can keep offering our vital services on a donation basis. On Thursday the 12th of November, the Green Table Cafe on the Dartington Estate will be all lit up, warm and welcoming. It will be ready for the community to gather to support Radiant Mama's work with families, as well as just have fun and enjoy the evening together. An auction of promises is a simple idea: people and businesses in our local community donate a promise - a weekend somewhere, a skill they'd otherwise charge for, a place on a course, a craft piece, a treat of some kind - something special, unique and different. We will sit in the lovely atmosphere of the Green Table and bid on the amazing variety of promises. These range from a unique piece of pottery to an attractive postpartum package, and even a 3 night Christmas stay at the Eden Rise Retreat Centre for family and friends to gather in with their extended kin. There will also be a raffle with great prizes, so between the raffle and the auction, there's something for every budget. How it works: When you register for a free ticket, you will be assigned a virtual bidding number. You are not obligated to bid on anything, but of course we hope you are inspired and excited to do so! This is to make the evening run as smoothly as possible. Promises will be auctioned live on the night, called out by our compere. Can't join us on the night? You can still bid on selected auction lots from wherever you are. Look for the BID FROM ANYWHERE symbol throughout the catalogue. Register your maximum bid in advance and one of our proxy bidders will bid for you in the room. The highest accepted bid is binding. The Impact You're Making With Your Contribution: Every pound raised goes straight back into this community - and it's much needed. The winter, the economic climate, the loss of resources and the isolation can make this time so challenging for parents. More than ever, support and community is vital for families. The money raised at the auction will make it possible for us to offer all these services on a donation basis: • Counselling and coaching sessions for parents • Baby feeding support group • Community gatherings for lone parents It will be a great event! Jackie Juno will compere the evening and will offer her poetry, alongside Ceri, the Grand Bard of Exeter. Pizzas and other light meals will be on offer from 6pm. The auction itself will start at 7pm.
