Tree Folk: Tree folk tales, songs and lore from Britain and Ireland

Following the wheel of the year, storyteller and ecologist Lisa Schneidau brings our trees alive through their stories and songs. The islands of Britain and Ireland hold a rich heritage of folk tales, history, knowledge and song about trees. It is a living heritage, changing all the time through the circling year as oak and rowan are joined by spruce and plane, and as old stories are reworked and new ones created. In Tree Folk, storyteller and ecologist Lisa Schneidau brings our trees alive through their stories and songs. Lisa is a storyteller, author and folklorist living on the wild edge of Dartmoor in Devon. She uses storytelling to explore our relationship with nature and folklore. Lisa is passionate about bringing our story heritage to a wider audience. She has written five popular books of folk tales, including the best-selling Botanical Folk Tales of Britain and Ireland
