Artist Talks: Zac Weinberg

About this event

Best Practice presents 'Artist Talks', an ongoing artist talk Q+A series of contemporary artists. Zac Weinberg is an artist living and working in Sunderland, UK. Working primarily with glass and mixed media his work comes from a desire to understand the ways objects work, both as utilitarian problem-solvers and as the physical embodiment of our ever-changing needs and wants. Originally from the United States, Weinberg relocated to the UK via an award through Fulbright. Recent professional accomplishments include receiving the 2025 Jutta Cuny-Franz Memorial Award and a residency at the Museum of Glass, Tacoma. His work has been exhibited widely throughout the US, UK and Europe and has recently been acquired for the permanent collections of The Ringling Museum, Sarasota, Florida and The Renwick Gallery, Washington, DC. Artist Talks is a weekly programme spotlighting contemporary artists based in the North East and beyond. They run for roughly 1 hour, followed by a Q+A discussion lasting 30 minutes. Doors will open 5 minutes before event start time. Accessibility: Please note that our venue is upstairs (26 steps), with no lift access. Apologies for any inconvenience.
