Jazz at George IV - The Emma Field Band

A sophisticated mix of swing, smooth grooves, Latin numbers and ballads, performed by an experienced vocalist and talented London musicians. Join Emma Field and her band for a mix of sophisticated swing, smooth grooves, luscious Latin numbers and beautiful ballads. Emma’s performances draw on more than 30 years of experience across West End shows, concerts, and intimate live gigs in the UK and abroad. She first sang jazz in her twenties, performing with a band after her “day job” in Sunset Boulevard for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s company. That experience helped connect her theatre background with the jazz repertoire she loved. After working in theatre, television, and film, Emma now focuses on singing jazz with talented musicians across Surrey and London. Clive Newnham plays bass with The Groove Primitive, The Quarter Tones, and West London jazz collective Melbury Music. He has been a regular on the London jazz scene over the last 10 years and has performed in the house bands for a number of long-running jams. Marcus James studied jazz piano at Leeds College of Music in the 90s. He currently performs with various West London and Surrey-based bands and is house pianist at the Hammersmith Jazz Jam. Drummer Gerald Eyton-Jones has played in bands covering all genres including jazz, funk, soul, Latin, fusion, rock, pop and folk music. Stuart Ashton studied jazz sax at Middlesex University and currently plays with The Chiswick Jazz Orchestra and regularly performs with Latin jazz band Bandabomba. A word about our seating arrangements We sell tickets as tables for two or four people and banquettes for six. We also sell tickets for individual seats in rows beside the stage, not at a table. You can also buy individual tickets to add to tables, so you can to buy a table for two and make it up to three by buying an extra ticket, or buy a table for four and make it up to five by buying an extra ticket. Chiswick Calendar Club Card holders are offered a £2 discount on tickets. You can order meals, bar snacks and drinks in the Boston Room, before and during the performance. Doors open 7.00 pm. Performance starts 7.30 pm We don't give refunds but if you find you have to cancel, email us to talk about a credit note for another show.
