Jazz at George IV - The Fallen Heroes

Celebrate 30 years of The Fallen Heroes with swinging New Orleans jazz, R&B, ska, classics and originals, plus horns and boogie piano. The Heroes are back in the Boston Room celebrating the 30th anniversary of this remarkable ensemble. The band will be showcasing their unique take on swinging New Orleans jazz together with an interesting mix of classics & originals, hot rhythm & blues and a dash of ska, including numbers by Ray Charles, Fats Domino, Chuck Berry and more, all influenced by the jazz and blues of New Orleans where band leaders Ben and Emile Martyn grew up. The Martyn Brothers’ musical history includes playing with the likes of Dr John, James Cotton, KT Tunstall and Ronnie Wood among others. The band draws on the musical energy of the American South but with a twist, writing original compositions in a funky New Orleans manner but in a more contemporary London style. With Ben Martyn on vocals & bass, Emile Martyn on drums and backing vocals and Kansa City Boogie pianist Dean Ross, the line-up is completed by the swinging horns of tenor saxophonist John O’Neil (Madness) and alto sax prodigy Viki Anne. A word about our seating arrangements: We sell tickets as tables for two or four people and banquettes for six. We also sell tickets for individual seats in rows beside the stage, not at a table. You can also buy individual tickets to add to tables, so you can to buy a table for two and make it up to three by buying an extra ticket, or buy a table for four and make it up to five by buying an extra ticket. Chiswick Calendar Club Card holders are offered a £2 discount on tickets. You can order meals, bar snacks and drinks in the Boston Room, before and during the performance. Doors open 7.00 pm.
