Stay or join after Storytime for an hour of play, creativity and fun – completely free! Looking for a fun, relaxed activity to enjoy with your little one? Come along to our brand‑new free Stay and Play sessions for under 5s! These weekly sessions take place straight after Storytime and invite parents, carers and young children to enjoy playful time together in a friendly, welcoming library setting. What to expect Building on our much‑loved Storytime sessions, Stay and Play offers: • Toys, games and books to explore • Shared play • A calm, friendly space to relax and socialise All activities support early learning and development through play - while keeping things fun and pressure‑free. Duration: 1 hour No booking needed. All children must be accompanied by an appropriate adult. Stay and Play is part of the government’s Best Start in Life initiative, a county‑wide programme focused on giving every child the healthiest, happiest and most supportive start possible. By offering accessible activities in familiar community venues, the sessions support family wellbeing and help strengthen local connections.
