Samhain innerdance

Transformational somatic sound journey As autumn envelops us fully in her orange and brown crispy shawl, the magic of Samhain beckons. A time of year to honour and connect with our ancestors, the wisdom of the land and the wisdom our bones know, there is a crispness in the air and a quietness that affords us this deeper sense of connection, less available in the summer months. Marking the end of the harvest and the Celtic new year, this time is associated with beginnings as equally as it is endings - a perfect portal into inner reflections, realms and worlds as we move closer towards the darkest part of the year. The format of the evening will be arrivals and grounding, the sound journey together and time afterwards to share and integrate. Please bring a mat to lie on and blanket, a snack to share and any items you wish to add to our collective altar for the journey. FAQ 🍁 What is innerdance? A somatic sound journey. Participants start laying down with eyes closed as the playlist takes them on an inner journey where all of you is welcome. There may be some suggestions but not concrete 'instructions' as such - you might express through movement, sound, stillness…everything is welcome. Eyes remain closed throughout and the facilitator has eyes open, holding the space and offering support through verbal cues and physical touch. 🍁 Do I need dance experience and is it like 5 rhythms etc? No you don't need dance experience. And it is nothing like 5 Rhythms or any other dance modality I have experienced before in over a decade of exploring movement. It’s easier if you can let go of the label you’ve created for what ‘dance’ is and allow yourself to simply be present with what unfolds for you in the moment. 🍁 What are the benefits? Creating space for an internal alchemical process that can illuminate your life in so many ways. People often experience things like deep clarity, insights, visions, messages from spirit guides/loved ones/ancestors, a deeper sense of connection and awareness of their body, deep rest, release of old patterns and stories and so much more. 🍁 Who will be leading the session? Marie will be guiding the session. She has 5 years experience facilitating this modality in various settings, from 121 all the way up to a festival setting with many participants. Without a doubt this modality has changed the very fabric of her existence…and she can’t wait to share this experience with you. 🍁 Is there anyone this is not suitable for? This session is for those over 18 and not suitable for pregnant folk or those with epilepsy. Please email if you have a specific query around suitability/any concerns.
