U-Xplore : Run Into Winter With Silva & Montane

Join us at U-Xplore for an evening getting ready for winter running with Montane & Silva Head down to U-Xplore for an early winter trail run, where you’ll get hands-on with the latest Montane Gecko running packs and Silva’s AW26 headtorch range. Packing for winter trail running is an essential skill, especially when heading into the hills and trails in unpredictable weather. Knowing what to wear, what to pack and how to choose the right equipment can make all the difference to your comfort, safety and enjoyment outdoors. Our Montane expert, Jaye, will share practical advice on winter layering, choosing the right waterproof jacket for the conditions and understanding the different materials and technologies available. Ever wondered whether to choose a synthetic or natural base layer, or what the difference is between a 2.5-layer and 3-layer waterproof jacket? Jaye will help make sense of it all. Joining us from Silva, Joe will introduce the AW26 headtorch range, offering expert advice on choosing the right torch for your adventures and getting the most out of your lighting in different conditions. After the expert sessions, we’ll head out for a relaxed 5km social trail run around Abergavenny, putting our kit to the test before returning to the store for some well-earned hot chocolate, brownies and a bit of post-run trail chat. Whether you’re a seasoned trail runner or just getting started with winter adventures, this is a great opportunity to learn something new, try out some exciting kit and enjoy an evening outdoors with the U-Xplore community.
