Join us for guided moonlight walk through the woodlands in Palgrave in search this majestic and elusive flying mammal. Join the River Waveney Trust for Suffolk Wildlife Trust's Festival of Nature for a fun and insightful evening exploring the wonderfully weird world of Bats! We will lead you through the woodland and meadow alongside the River Waveney, where you can have a go using a handheld bat detector to listen out for and hopefully see these amazing creatures. Event Information • The meeting point will be the bridge over the River Waveney behind the Tesco in Diss. • Families welcome (under 18's must be accompanied by an adult). • We will be looking for illusive and shy wildlife so no dogs, please. • There is a circular path through the woods and meadows, this is not paved and has some lumps and bumps so not ideal for buggies or wheelchairs. If you have any access requirements please do get in touch and we can accommodate as best we can. • Please bring a torch and warm clothing for a chilly dusk walk. • No car park on site, however you can park for up to two hours in the Tesco car park or up to 3 hours in the Morrisons car park. • For any other information please contact us on [email protected]. £4 per person - Your contribution will help us run events like these and contribute to the ongoing work of the River Waveney Trust.
