The Infamous Essex Witch Hunt Tour of the 17th Century

Dare you join me? As we explore one of the darkest chapters in English history! This tour will terrify, and move you, in equal measure, as we remember the English Witch Hunts of the 17th century. In Loving Memory To the Girls and Women who tragically lost their lives in the Essex Witch Hunts of the 17th Century! This tour was created by an Essex Woman to remember them! Tour Details This tour will ignite your imagination! The history is very complex, yet it is equally moving. Possibly over 300 girls and women were executed as witches, men, and some children too. It was, and remains, a tragedy! We follow in the chilling footsteps of Matthew Hopkins and John Sterne, two of the most feared and hated witch hunters England has ever known. The tour brings the stories of the girls and women who were so cruelly hunted and executed alive! They were not witches, they were innocent women! This tour aims to bring them justice, if only in our thoughts, alas, as only the passing of time, and history can! Tour timings FRIDAY TOUR May Coffee and Toilet Stop 6pm to 6.30 pm Enjoy a delicious cup of coffee and cake, and toilet stop in an old Manningtree Pub before the tour starts.
