Equips participants to deliver medication training assess staff competency, and promote safe medication practices in line with best practice Medication Train the Trainer – 2-Day Course | 4th & 11th December 2026 This 2-day Train the Trainer course is designed for individuals responsible for delivering medication training within their organisation. It provides participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence required to plan, deliver and assess engaging, effective and safe medication training. The course explores the roles, responsibilities and boundaries of a trainer, alongside effective teaching, learning and assessment methods. Participants will develop skills in planning training sessions, assessing knowledge and competence, and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual and group learning needs. The course also covers medication management, safe handling and administration of medicines, accurate record-keeping, medication errors, risk management and relevant legislation and best practice guidelines. Participants will explore effective feedback, assessment techniques and practical teaching methods to support staff in developing safe medication practices. Participants will complete a micro-teach competency assessment, demonstrating their ability to plan and deliver a medication training session and assess learners effectively. On successful completion, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to deliver medication training and support staff competency within their organisation, in line with organisational policies and relevant guidance.
