Wild Words: Nature connection and journaling

An afternoon in the woods, connecting with nature as we approach the Celtic new year festival of Samhain, and reflective time to write. Connect with nature. Connect with self. An afternoon of forest bathing - immersing the senses in the woodland environment, with time for your own reflective writing practice. We'll explore the woods at this magical time of year, in the midst of autumn and as the Celtic new year festival Samhain approaches. Traditionally, a time where the veil between worlds is thin, a time of looking back and looking ahead, of divination and spirit. We'll gather inspiration as we connect with the other beings in these beautiful woods - the trees and other plants, the animals, the sandstone bones of the land. I'll be inviting you out of your busy everyday heads and into an embodied sensing, receptive to the messages and gifts of the more-than-human world. We'll have time to write - and that may be free journaling, poetry, mind mapping - or to respond creatively in whatever way feels write for you if you prefer sketching, doodling or a combination! These practices are very simple. And very powerful. Expect to find new insight, fresh perspectives and a sense of your belonging in the web of the ecosystem. I will provide light refreshments so we can share the community-building power of a cuppa.
