Beyond the Pencil: Watercolour Drawing Workshop

Unlock new drawing techniques in this creative beginner friendly workshop to discover the art and power of watercolour portraits. With step by step guidance, create your own portrait drawing using watercolour pencils and markers on paper. Learn how to construct a portrait drawing then how to simply create a sense of realism through tone and colour. By the end of the workshop, you will have created one watercolour portrait and have an understanding of how you can create a sense of realism in your drawings. We will be referring to a selection of portrait photographs to inspire the drawings, which we will provide. We will also provide all the drawing materials you need, but you are welcome to bring along your own drawing supplies if that feels more comfortable. Nervous about coming along? Don't be! We'll be sharing beginner-friendly techniques and tips to ease you into the process. Join us for an evening of slow portraiture and leave with the skills to continue drawing portraits at home.
