Setting off from Box Hill & Westhumble Station, we make our way through the rolling North Downs countryside towards Polesden Lacey, an impressive National Trust country estate surrounded by landscaped gardens and sweeping views across the Surrey Hills. We’ll stop here for our packed lunch before continuing the hike. From Polesden Lacey, our route takes us across Ranmore Common, following woodland trails and open countryside before descending towards Denbies Wine Estate, one of England’s best-known vineyards. We pass through the vineyard with views across the surrounding hills and towards Box Hill. From Denbies, it is a short walk back towards Box Hill & Westhumble Station, where you are welcome to join us for a well-earned drink at a nearby pub before catching the train home. 🕘 Schedule & Meeting Info • Meeting Time: 09:10 at London Victoria Station, next to the information booth by Platform 12. (alternatively you can meet us at the hike start point) • Trains: 09:41 from London Victoria to Box Hill & Westhumble, arriving at approximately 10:37 • Tickets: Return to Box Hill & Westhumble.
