Home Alone | W Film Club

An eight-year-old boy accidentally left behind by his family during Christmas vacation must defend his home from two sneaky burglars. Keep the change, ya filthy animal! Relive the ultimate holiday classic on the big screen with Chris Columbus’ wildly funny 1990 blockbuster, Home Alone. When eight-year-old Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) acts out the night before a family trip to Paris, his mother makes him sleep in the attic. After an accidental power outage resets the alarm clocks, the family rushes to the airport in a panic, inadvertently leaving Kevin behind. At first, Kevin revels in having the massive house all to himself, eating junk food and jumping on beds. But his holiday of freedom takes a chaotic turn when he discovers that the "Wet Bandits" (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern)—a pair of bumbling burglars—are targeting his neighborhood. Undeterred, Kevin rigs his house with an ingenious array of booby traps to defend the family home and give the intruders a Christmas they will never forget. Filled with slapstick humor, iconic quotes, and heart-warming festive spirit, Home Alone remains an enduring favorite for movie lovers of all ages. • Director: Chris Columbus • Run Time: 1h 43m (103 minutes) • Cast: Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, John Heard, Catherine O'Hara, Roberts Blossom, John Candy This film is rated PG.
