$9 Trillion a Year Runs Through Jacksonville: The Firms That Move American Money Are Coming to London. Payments, core banking, claims and underwriting are all being rebuilt on new technology, and the largest buyers sit in the US. For a UK fintech or insurtech, the hard part is rarely the product. It is getting in front of the institutions that run American money. Jacksonville is called the Wall Street of the South for a reason. It is home to FIS, the Fortune 500 fintech that processes some $9 trillion in transactions a year, to Fidelity National Financial, the country's largest title insurer, and to Paysafe's US headquarters. Bank of America, Citi and Deutsche Bank all run major operations in the city. The UK and Florida signed their trade and economic cooperation agreement in Jacksonville in November 2023, and Jacksonville's City Council holds a Memorandum of Friendship with the City of London. JAX Hub, the city's fintech innovation programme, is accepting applications from UK companies for its 2026 cohort.
