TAFETA makes its Frieze Masters debut with Carving Narratives in Wood, a solo Spotlight presentation of works by Lamidi Olonade Fakeye (1928–2009), a fifth-generation Yoruba sculptor. Find TAFETA at Stand S12. Working predominantly in iroko and mahogany, Fakeye made sculptural objects, narrative panels and architectural carvings. His work carried Yoruba forms, symbolism and storytelling into modern and postcolonial contexts. Frieze Masters is at Gloucester Green in the north-east corner of The Regent’s Park, near London Zoo; use entrance postcode NW1 4HA. The venue map may indicate the park generally rather than the fair entrance. Entry is by Frieze Masters ticket; check the official visitor information for access.
