Postcards from Italy: Classic Italian Wines

In our collective consciousness, it feels like Italian wine nestles in a kind of hinterland between rustic (Chianti wrapped in raffia) and intimidating (Barolo). Tonight, we’ll bring the wines of Italy into sharper focus by tasting through a line-up of the classics. Barolo, of course, and beyond: think vibrant whites from Cortese to Pecorino and tangy reds from Sangiovese to Aglianico. Italy is a fascinating country with coastal and mountain influences from tip to toe, rightly revered for its wine and gastronomy - come and explore Bella Italia with us and by the end of the night you should know your Toscana from your Taurasi! Our shop tastings start at 7.30pm and run for approximately one-and-a-half to two hours. We will taste 6-8 wines on a theme, and bread, cheese and charcuterie is provided to match with the wines. Due to the communal nature of the tasting, we are unable to cater for dietary requirements.
