Supper in Solidarity - Festive Edition 2026

Join us for an evening of food, connection, and community at Supper in Solidarity during The Big Give Christmas Challenge Week. UPDATE: What a response! The event has now reached capacity. Supper in Solidarity is a communal meal, bringing together supporters of Islington Centre for Refugees and Migrants, with members of our community to share food, stories and connection, whilst raising funds to support our work. This December, Supper in Solidarity falls during the Big Give Christmas Challenge online match funding campaign - giving you the chance to make double the difference with your support. From 1-8 December, every donation will be doubled, thanks to £10,000 in match funding already pledged. With your help, we can unlock the full £10,000 in match funding and raise £20,000 to support our work. So, on 4 December, we will come together for an evening of good food, music and community - and to help make that £20,000 possible. The food Chef Yogi, of Trampoline Cafe in Islington, will be serving a delicious Sri Lankan thali-style meal, with a selection of different curries, rice and sides, followed by mince pies. What to expect • A delicious Sri Lankan thali-style meal • Vegetarian and vegan options • Mince pies to finish • Soft drinks included • Beer, red wine, white wine and sparkling wine available to purchase, with the kind support of Humble Grape • A special performance from the Islington Centre Choir, singing a selection of Christmas carols • A warm and welcoming evening with supporters, staff, volunteers and members of our community Everything will be served around communal tables, creating space to meet new people, share conversation and enjoy an evening together. Help us unlock £20,000 Tickets for the evening are £15, with all guests encouraged to make an additional donation during the evening to help us reach our £10,000 fundraising target. We will have QR codes available throughout the evening, making it easy to donate directly to our Big Give Christmas Challenge page.
