Hartlepool's Year of Culture & Creativity- Let's Plan

A year of creativity and cultural brilliance for the town. Help us plan, figure out and understand what that should include. Earlier this year the town pulled together to submit an expression of interest to the DCMS led 'Town of Culture' competition. Over 400 towns applied and on this occassion Hartlepool didn't make it onto the longlist. But what happens now? This town is packed full of creativity, from festivals, to dance schools, theatre makers and illustrators, Hartlepool is already is a Town of Culture, so how do we share and celebrate that together? This drop in event welcomes you to join us as at the start of this thinking about what a 'Year of Culture' could look like. We're going to be asking you and chatting about.... • Who needs to be involved? • What hidden gems in Hartlepool need their moment? • How can you help? • If the sky was the limit, what would a 'Year of Culture' in Hartlepool include • What amazing creative event, experience or thing happens near you? This event is brought to you by the Hartlepool Creative & Cultural Partnership. This partnership brings together people and organisations from arts, culture, education, business and other sectors across Hartlepool. It helps them work together, share ideas and create more opportunities for everyone in the town to take part in arts, culture and creative activities.
