A day for men who feel stuck or unsure what's next. Reflect, get clear on what matters, and leave with a practical plan to move forward. Stuck in the same cycle? Start by taking a step back. You can be busy without making progress. You can be successful on paper and still feel stuck. You can know something needs to change without knowing where to start. Sometimes the answer isn't another podcast, another productivity hack or another promise to do better on Monday. Sometimes you need to stop. To look honestly at where you are, what's driving your decisions and what needs to change. The Better Man returns in 2026 with a simple challenge: Reflect. Plan. Act. Hosted by Andy Turner, this is a day for men who want to take stock, get honest with themselves and leave with a clearer direction. Andy isn't standing on stage pretending he's got life figured out. He's open about his own experiences and the fact that he's still on the journey himself. Because being a better man isn't about becoming perfect. It's about becoming more aware. It's about taking responsibility for what you can control. And then doing something about it. Reflect. Plan. Act. Throughout the day, you'll explore four areas that can have a huge impact on how you live, work and show up for the people around you: Ego What is your ego protecting you from? And what might it be costing you? Motivation Why does motivation disappear when you need it most? And what can you build that lasts beyond a good day? Purpose What are you actually working towards? And are your current choices taking you there? Self-Awareness What patterns keep showing up in your life? What are you avoiding? And what might change if you were prepared to look at them honestly? This isn't a day about being told what to do. It's a day about asking better questions, having honest conversations and giving yourself the space to work out what comes next. This day is for you if... • You feel stuck, lost or lacking direction • You're struggling to find motivation • You keep repeating decisions or behaviours that aren't serving you • You know something needs to change but aren't sure where to start • You're carrying pressure that you don't often talk about • You want to get clearer on your purpose and priorities • You want to spend a day around other men who are prepared to be honest You don't need to have everything figured out. You just need to be willing to start. Your Speakers Andy Turner — Host It Starts With... Andy has spent years listening to men talk about their problems, their pressures and the things they're struggling to make sense of. Different circumstances. Different stories. But often, the same starting point: a lack of awareness. As he continues on his own journey of discovery and direction, Andy is the first to say he's not the finished article. But, that is the point. His session looks at where the journey starts — exploring ego, motivation, purpose and self-awareness, and why understanding yourself is the first step towards changing your life. Andy will also host the day and bring our speakers together for the closing panel. Colin Davidson The Question of Being a Useful Man! Former Army Officer and leadership instructor, Colin Davidson now coaches men to face themselves, break old patterns and build the courage to live with purpose. Direct, honest and grounded in experience, Colin challenges men to stop hiding behind excuses and become the man they know they can be. His session explores what it means to add value to your own life, your family, your relationships, your workplace and your community — without losing yourself in the process. And he'll ask you a question that's difficult to ignore: If you disappeared from everyone's life tomorrow, what would genuinely become harder for the people around you — and what would they discover they had been relying on you to do? Ric Moylan The Lonely Walk The walk to the ring is lonely. So is building a life that matters. With more than 25 years in the trenches, Ric Moylan is widely regarded as one of the UK's leading high-performance coaches. He has worked with 10 World Champions, including boxing icon Ricky Hatton (RIP), as well as ATP tennis star Liam Broady. His MAPPS methodology is practical, direct and rooted in real-world experience rather than theory, and has been used with CEOs, the League Managers Association, senior police officers, the RAF and Special Forces. The Lonely Walk is about self-leadership, pressure, fear and what happens when we drift away from the person we know we can be. Nobody can face your fear for you. Nobody can make the difficult decision for you. Nobody can uphold your standards when nobody is watching. Ric will challenge you to recognise where you've drifted, face what you've been avoiding and find the courage to lead yourself forward. The Closing Panel We'll finish the day with an honest conversation bringing our speakers together. Andy Turner, Colin Davidson and Ric Moylan will be joined by Matt Jordinson of Fresh Meal Prep Co. A former Personal Trainer, Matt now owns and runs the successful Fresh Meal Prep Co — and he's also providing the food for the day. Expect an open conversation, practical insights and the opportunity to ask the questions that don't always get asked. What's Included • An immersive full day seminar. • Three speakers, a closing panel and Andy hosting throughout. • A hot, healthy, protein-fuelled lunch. Provided by Fresh Meal Prep Co. Please let us know about any dietary requirements when booking. • A chance to build a community of likeminded lads. • No posturing. No pretending you've got it all sorted. Just a room full of men taking a day to stop, reflect and work out what comes next. Optional Cold Water Dip We'll finish the day with an optional cold water dip at the beach at Seaton Carew. If you'd like to take part, bring a towel and a change of clothes. Come as you are. Leave with a plan. You don't need to arrive with all the answers. You don't need to be at rock bottom. And you certainly don't need to have your life sorted. Just come prepared to be honest. Reflect on where you are. Plan where you want to go. Act on what matters. That's The Better Man.
