The Colin Holt Band

Door & Bar from 6:45pm The Colin Holt Band is a highly regarded indie-folk, blues, and soft rock group based in the North East of England. Formed in 2005 by English singer-songwriter and guitarist Colin Holt, the band has spent over two decades cultivating a loyal following across North Yorkshire and Tyne and Wear for their tightly knit instrumentation and deeply reflective storytelling. Frontman Colin Holt writes the vast majority of the band's material. His lyricism blends personal reflection with observational commentary, often capturing: -Childhood memories growing up in the industrial textile town of Morley, West Yorkshire. -Local regional history and the realities of working-class life. -Insightful social perspectives touching lightly on contemporary politics and life's injustices. Musically, they deliver a rich acoustic-driven sound woven together with melodic piano lines and guitars. Critics frequently praise their ability to project a powerful, full-bodied studio sound that translates flawlessly into energetic live shows.
