Inspire Poetry Festival 2026: The Gruffalo's Child Film at Mansfield Central Library

Part of the Inspire Poetry festival 2026 and in celebration of the publication of Gruffalo Granny, we're showing the Gruffalo's Child. As part of the Inspire Poetry festival 2026 and in celebration of the publication of Gruffalo Granny, we're showing the Gruffalo's Child film accompanied by FREE themed activities. The Gruffalo's Child (U) An animated film based on the classic children’s picture book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. The Gruffalo’s Child tells the delightful tale of a little Gruffalo who ignores her father’s warnings and tiptoes out into the snow in search of the Big Bad Mouse. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Free activities will be available in the library before this screening. Doors will open 20 minutes before the screening. We will be sensitive to the audience when it comes to lighting and volume. Access to the auditorium is via stairs or a lift from the ground floor.
