Fused Glass Workshop - Sutton Courtenay, Friday 20 November

Try the art of glass fusion to create two beautiful Christmas or nature inspired pieces. Workshop for over 18s. Glass fusing is the art of joining pieces of glass together by melting them in a kiln at high temperatures. During the process, layers of glass are carefully arranged into a design, then heated until they fuse together. It’s a wonderfully creative and relaxing craft where you can play with colour, shape, and texture to make beautiful items to your own design. In this workshop you'll be able to make two items, tealights or suncatchers 10cm square, with a Christmas or nature inspired theme. No cutting or experience is needed - this is a beginners workshop! We have plenty of examples, templates and pictures for you to follow. Every piece is fired in a kiln and returned to the centre for you to collect within 7-10 days, ready to display or gift. We will begin with a social hot drink and mince pie before handing over to Sue Matthews (The Floral Fuse) at 6:30pm who will lead you through making your glass pieces. We are committed to keeping our visitors, staff and volunteers safe. Please DO NOT attend if you are unwell, or testing positive for an infectious illness, such as COVID-19. Your consideration is hugely appreciated. Please note the centre is accessible by public transport with regular buses (including connection to Didcot Parkway railway station) serving Milton Park, a few minutes walk from the centre. what3words///unloads.latter.laces
