Join our Energy Advisors in an interactive workshop exploring what you can do to help people in energy crisis in Plymouth It is estimated that 6 million people are living in fuel poverty. More and more Plymouth residents are struggling to pay energy bills, leading to cold, damp homes and worsening health conditions. Newly updated for winter 2026, this is a session for frontline workers and professionals supporting residents across the city. Our expert energy advisors will explore the wide-ranging impacts of fuel poverty, what you can do to help, and the tools you need to get started. Session Content: • Plymouth Energy Community’s role in the city • The Energy Crisis • What fuel poverty means • How to tell if someone might need help • A practical approach to support - fuel poverty first aid • How PEC can support you • Your tool kit Attendees have been telling us the difference PEC’s training makes. These informal sessions form new links with frontline workers across the city, offer tools to keep people warm and well at home and provided a welcome forum for sharing ideas. ‘It’s very informative...(I’ve gained an) awareness of what PEC do as an organisation and how we can work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.’ ‘It has helped me develop more of an understanding of the signs to look out for when someone may be struggling with fuel poverty…and what I can do to help them get support.’
