Discover the secrets behind growing mushrooms with City Farm House and the joy of pickling them with JarSquad (www.jarsquad.com) The 2h 30 min workshop will take place in C103, a former Union Street nightclub restored to a community space that is home to CityFarmHouse and JarSquad. You will have an introductory session on mushrooms, their biology and how to grow them. Then you will get hands on and prepare your own mushroom grow kit with recycled material. We will then collect some mushrooms from the farm and bring them to Jar Squad to pickle and prepare them. These workshops are funded by the Rank Foundation and are FREE to attend. This is to enable participation to all people who would not normally afford it. Donations are welcomed, and will go towards supporting both involved organisations.
