Our Land Flows...from Peat to Pipe-Exploring watery connections in Plymouth

Guided walk, talk and celebration event exploring water in Plymouth and how it links back to Dartmoor's watery places Our Land Flows…from Peat to Pipe Join us for a guided walk and talk exploring water in the City of Plymouth and how it links back to Dartmoor, both historically and today. We’ll be joined by experts who will share their knowledge. We’ll meet near Drake’s Reservoir at the University of Plymouth at 10am. Guided walk 10am - 12 noon. Stephen Luscombe, Chair of The Historical Association - Plymouth Branch, will lead our guided walk. The walk will be at a gentle pace, covering ~2.7km, using pavements and pedestrian crossings - we aim to be as accessible as possible. 12 noon - 2pm Find us at the Sustainability Hub, Kirkby Lodge, University of Plymouth, PL4 8AA. We’ll stop for lunch - please bring your own, and we will provide tea & cake. There will be the opportunity to meet Kathy Wray (visual artist working with drawing, collage, painting and print) and learn more about her creative approach to water and the environment. Stephen will give an illustrated talk of his earlier guided walk for those who are unable to join the walk or wish to learn more. If you are unable to join us for the walk then come along to the Sustainability Hub from 12 noon - 2pm, everyone welcome to join us here too.
