Seed Collecting with Moor Trees at Plymbridge Woods

Join Moor Trees collecting tree seeds so we can grow the future forests of Dartmoor! Join us at the very start of a wonderful two-year cycle which ends with planting new native broadleaved woodlands on Dartmoor. We will spend the day walking through ancient semi-natural woodland and along hedgerows collecting native broadleaved tree seeds, which in the coming weeks we will process and get them ready to grow into the trees of the future. Our day starts at 11am and we'll take a walk through the woods collecting different tree seed we find along the way. Each week we will be visiting a different site, so please note the change in address! Dogs will need to be kept on a lead please. BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL. If you have booked a ticket for this event but are not able to make it to the session, we ask you to please cancel your booking to allow other volunteers to sign up and to make the team aware. We will provide refreshments of cake, biscuits and squash, as well as all of the equipment required to undertake the task in hand on the day.
