Terrain Talks 011: The Means to Remain

Exploring how rural housing, productive landscapes and local economies might become part of a more interconnected and resilient future. Join us for an evening of talks, discussion and debate exploring one of the defining challenges facing rural Britain: how we create the conditions that enable people and communities to remain, work and thrive in rural places while restoring the landscapes on which they depend. Bringing together leading voices in rural enterprise, community development and ecological regeneration, speakers Amica Dall, Tim Crabtree and Dr Tarsha Finney will examine the interconnected challenges of housing, land access, environmental restoration and local economic resilience. The evening will be chaired by Johnny Messum, who will guide the conversation and moderate a panel discussion with questions and answers at the end. The venue for this talk is within the Long Room of the Drew Arms - a Grade II* Listed thatched community owned freehouse pub. There is a free car park below the churchyard and there are limited spaces at the back of the pub. Please consider car-sharing if possible. Food and drink is available to purchase from the Drew Arms during the event.
