A rare chance to see inside the Collections Store at Gosport Museum. Collections Volunteer, Pam Braddock, will take you beyond the locked green doors, to see the wealth of Gosport artefacts which lay within… Join Pam, as she takes you on a tour ‘behind the scenes’ in the Store at Gosport Museum and Art Gallery. You’ll be amazed by this treasure trove of objects, documents, and artwork which fill the shelves and line the walls, and ALL special to Gosport history! Pam works with a team of Volunteers who spend many hours each week on researching and recording items; and also cleaning and preparing for artefacts for safe storage or display. This tour, in a non-public area, is upstairs and via narrow corridors with security doors, leading to compact viewing space within the Store Rooms. So, it is not suitable for children under 16 yrs, or people using wheelchairs or other large mobility aids. Please arrive 15 minutes before start. Duration Approx. 90 minutes Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the start time to get seated and comfy. The venue offers a lovely Cafe and a small shop area stocking items from local makers.
