First Aid for Mental Health - Level 2

Join us for this training to become a Level 2 First Aider for Mental Health within the workplace - national accreditation by NUCO This face-to-face course equips learners with the knowledge and confidence to recognise suspected mental health conditions, understand the effects of drugs and alcohol, and apply the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan effectively. Places are strictly limited, so early booking is strongly encouraged. What we will cover: • What is First Aid for Mental Health? • Identifying mental health conditions • Providing advice and starting a conversation • Drugs and alcohol • First Aid for Mental Health action plan • First Aid for Mental Health in the workplace Please note: The Level 2 course incorporates all Level 1 objectives, with additional content designed to deepen understanding beyond the Level 1 material. Completion of the Level 1 course is not required before enrolling in Level 2. Location Friends Meeting House, Priory Road, Chichester PO19 1NX Upstairs Meeting Room - Meeting Room on 1st floor accessed by a flight of stairs (Information regarding nearby parking, public transport links and amenities will be provided once booking is confirmed.) Timings • Arrival from 08:45 • Prompt start at 09:00 • Finish at 17:00 The day includes: • 7 hours of teaching and assessment • 1 hour for breaks and lunch What to bring • Photo ID • A laptop or tablet with charger and headphones • Notebook and pen (optional) • Lunch (hot drinks and snacks will be provided) Please note: To support our snack selection, we ask that you inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements in advance. We are unable to guarantee an allergen-free training environment. Assessment Throughout the day, learners will take part in a range of learning activities and group discussions. Assessment consists of: • A closed-book written assessment (14 questions, worth 26 points; pass mark 18) • A practical demonstration of the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan Both elements must be successfully completed to achieve the qualification.* The written assessment includes a combination of multiple-choice and short-answer questions. If you anticipate any difficulty with the assessment, please contact us as early as possible. Reasonable adjustments may be available. Successful learners will receive a nationally recognised Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health, issued as an e-certificate by First Aid Awards (FAA) from NUCO. *In the event that a second attempt must be made to sucessfully complete the written assessment, an additional charge of £30 will be made. The Chichester-based location of this second attempt will be confirmed individually with the delegate. Cancellations: • Lifecentre reserves the right to cancel the course if necessary. In this case, all participants will receive a full refund. • Cancellations made up to 7 days before the training date will receive a refund, minus any platform fees. • Unfortunately, no refunds can be issued for cancellations made within 7 days of the training date.
