We will explore the town uncovering archaeological details, clues and features that tell us about its Roman past. Length of walk: 2.5 miles (approx 1.5 hours) Walk Leader: Kelly Wetherick Walk Cost: Paid walk - £6 payable in cash to Walk Leader on the day (exact cash please) Type of Walk: Circular Start / Finish location: Newport Roman Villa, Cypress Rd, Newport PO30 1HA (SZ 501 885) Pace of Walk: Gentle - This walk will follow a gentle pace. Walk grade: Easy - Mainly flat walking, on paths with good surfaces. No stiles, none or few steps. Mobility level: Suitable for a person who depends on the use of a wheelchair. The Isle of Wight Heritage Service have kindly offered discounted entry to the Villa after the walk, for walk attendees, of £2pp with a short introductory talk by the curator.
