Gather beneath The Harvest Moon at Shalfleet Village Hall as we share wild food, stories, songs, and the Society's latest discoveries from the Somewhen. Part performance, part feast, part gathering, this unique theatrical experience offers an invitation into an unfolding piece of Island folklore. As the evening unfolds, the boundary between our world and the stories of the Somewhen begins to blur. We invite you to step inside a living mythology and celebrate what it means to be a survivor on this island. The Gathering Step across the threshold into our 90-minute performance, with a 20minute intermission. We have two shows at Shalfleet: • Our matinee begins at 14.00; please arrive at Shalfleet Village Hall from 13.30. • Our evening show begins at 19.30; please arrive at Shalfleet Village Hall from 19.00. Guided by members of the Society, you will uncover fragments of a hidden history, encounter curious traditions and forgotten stories that remain etched into the Isle of Wight’s landscape, and learn the survival skills passed down by those who have ventured closest to the Somewhen. A Feast Rooted in the Landscape You will enjoy a selection of wild bites and a harvest hot pot - flavors foraged from the very hedgerows that surround us. Festival CAN YOU HEAR US? is a six-week celebration of creativity and culture taking place across the Isle of Wight between 11th September to 24th October. Film, food, craft, public art, music, theatre, nature connections, shared meals and carnival, the programme will celebrate and amplify artists, schools, communities, nurturing pride, participation and possibility while connecting the Island to the wider world.
