Winter Warm Up

Warm up this winter with hike over the Peak District hills, followed by food, drinks, entertainment and a cosy night in your sleeping bag. Now that winter is here, it’s time to embrace the colder months and find something to warm us up! What better way than a day spent exploring the hills of the Peak District, followed by good food, a few drinks and a cosy night under the stars around the campfire? Join us for Winter Warm Up, a hiking and camping adventure through some of the best scenery the Peak District has to offer. The Adventure We’ll meet at Alpkit in Hathersage from 9:30am for a warming drink and a chance to get together before setting off at 10:15am. Our hike will begin with a climb to the summit of Win Hill, before descending towards Hope Cross and making our way up onto the Kinder Plateau via Crookstone Moor. From there, we’ll follow the edge around to Ringing Roger before descending into Edale, where our campsite awaits. There will be plenty of incredible views along the way, so make sure you bring some food and drink to keep you fuelled for the journey! You won't need to carry your camping gear on the hike! We'll transport it directly to the campsite for you, leaving you free to enjoy the walk with just your day-to-day essentials. A Cosy Evening After a day out in the hills, there’s nothing better than getting to camp and warming up. A hearty evening meal will be waiting for you, followed by some entertainment and a chance to relax around the campfire. Feel free to bring along any extra food and drinks you'd like to enjoy throughout the evening. The Morning After After breakfast at the campsite, we'll make our way back to Alpkit in Hathersage by train. Of course, if you'd prefer to head home independently or make the most of the day with another hike, you're more than welcome to do so. What's Included? Your ticket includes: • Overnight camping • A hearty evening meal • Evening entertainment • A warming campfire • Transport of your camping gear to the campsite • Transport to the start of the hike from the shop What You'll Need to Bring You'll need to bring your own camping and hiking equipment. As we'll be spending the night outdoors in winter, it's important that your kit is suitable for cold-weather camping. Please keep an eye on the weather forecast in the run-up to the event and make sure you have appropriate clothing and footwear for the conditions. Not sure whether your camping gear is up to the job?
