Open to EVERYONE this sensitive and informative event will help you understand the end of life journey and how we can support each other Based on data, many families /friends of deceased patients say, “I wish I had known more about what to expect.” This course aims to gently and non-clinically make us aware of what the last year of a life could potentially look like. Including fatigue, loss of appetite, withdrawal, conversations, Medications, equipment, Respect, ACP, Grief, and so much more. While this will help some to gain a picture of what the future may look like, Others can gain knowledge on how to have conversations around the changes. When we see sudden deterioration, it can be distressing and lead to carers calling 999, this potentially can result in hospital admissions, which can be very stressful and frightening for all concerned. Especially if the preferred place of care is home.
