From Stone Age settlers to industrial pioneers, uncover the secrets of your own backyard, and meet the wildlife, landscapes, and mysteries that make the River Leven so special. About this event Starting with the Stone Age, we’ll journey through history, exploring Bronze and Iron Age communities, Romans, Picts, Scots, and the Industrial Revolution, when the River Leven powered the livelihoods of Scotland’s communities. Along the way, you’ll discover: • Hidden wildlife in River Leven Park • How the river shaped people’s work, homes, and daily lives • Mysteries of the creosote works and Kirkland Yard • The future of Levenmouth’s landscapes This FREE tour is open to all ages and is perfect for anyone curious about history, nature, and local heritage. Schedule & Meeting Points • Start: 10:30 AM at Cameron Bridge Station OR meet at 10:10 AM at Leven Station to travel together with Matt for free. • Train Option: Join the 10:19 train from Leven Station if more convenient. • Finish: 1:00 PM at Leven Station, with an option to catch the 13:06 train to Cameron Bridge, accompanied by Matt. 🚆 One-way train tickets will be provided for those taking the train. What to Bring • Comfortable outdoor footwear and clothing • A water bottle and/or a snack • A curious mind, the rest is provided!
