The Beacon Academy: Building Momentum 2026

The Beacon Academy provides academic skills training, mentored internship support, and conferences, all with the aim of widening access to clinical research for students from under-represented backgrounds and building a more diverse academic community. This year's conference brings together students and staff from universities across the UK to celebrate success in widening participation, share best practice, and explore opportunities to enhance support for under-represented groups in higher education. We will be showcasing the work of the Beacon Interns, who have worked throughout the year on their own research projects. The event is open to students of all year groups.
