Seventy Years of Song

An anniversary celebration! Our opening concert of St George's Singers' 70th anniversary season, looks back over the last seven decades with highlights from the Choir’s exciting, adventurous and innovative performance history. The programme will feature a collection of well-known choral classics, pieces specially commissioned by the Choir, and works that we brought to our audiences for the first time. Come and help us celebrate with the joyous exuberance of Handel’s ‘Zadok the Priest’ and Gabrieli’s ‘Jubilate Deo’, the beautiful harmonies of ‘Lay a Garland’ by Pearsall and ‘Wie Lieblich sind deine Wohnungen’ by Brahms, and many more favourites old and new.
