Sketty Transport Solutions: Community Meeting

Join the conversation! What did the survey tell us, and what practical solutions could improve how we get to, from and around Sketty? Sketty is a vibrant community, but getting around the area is becoming increasingly difficult. Congestion during the school run, parking pressures, public transport, traffic around the university and hospital, and the challenges faced by pedestrians and cyclists all affect residents, families, businesses and visitors. Over the past few months, people across the community have been sharing their experiences through the Sketty Transport Survey, giving us a valuable picture of the challenges people face and what matters most to them. Now it’s time to bring that conversation into the room and talk about what comes next. What will happen at the meeting? This will be an opportunity to: • Hear the key findings from the Sketty Transport Survey • Share your own experiences and perspectives • Discuss the challenges affecting different parts of our community • Explore practical ideas and possible solutions • Identify the issues that should be prioritised • Discuss what we can take forward together This isn't about simply complaining about traffic. It is about listening, understanding the evidence and finding practical ways to make Sketty easier, safer and better to get around. Who should come? Whether you walk, drive, cycle, use public transport, take children to school, work or study locally, run a business or simply live in Sketty, we want you to be part of the conversation. You don't need to have completed the survey to attend. Come along, hear what people across Sketty have told us, share your perspective and help shape what happens next. What happens after the meeting? We want to leave the meeting with a clearer picture of the community's priorities and practical ideas that can be taken forward with the organisations and decision-makers who can help make change happen. Good local solutions start with listening to local people.
