Helston Downs Tree Planting

Join us as we add another 400 trees to the Helston Downs Land project! Welcome to Helston Downs Tree Planting! Come and join us at Helston Downs for a day of planting trees and making a positive impact on the environment. We will be completing our hedge along Clodgey Lane, and making a start on our new native woodland! Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just looking to get your hands dirty, we welcome all volunteers. Tools and refreshments will be provided. Please bring gloves, boots, and clothing suitable for the weather. Do I need to stay for the whole session? No, come for as long as you like! There will be refreshments, but if you plan to stay for the whole day, it might be worth bringing a packed lunch. Can children come along? Of course, but we do ask that children are accompanied. How do I find Helston Downs? We are tucked between RNAS Culdrose and Sainsburys. We will be meeting and planting on the field nearest Clodgey Lane. Our intention is to make the land as accessible as possible, but for now the fields are the uneven earth typical of farmland. Please bear this in mind when planning your visit. What about toilets? We don't yet have toilets on site. Sainsbury's have been very supportive and are happy for participants to use their toilet facilities. Is there parking? We would prefer people to arrive on foot, bike, or public transport. If you do need to drive, there is time-limited parking for customers at Sainsbury's. Please avoid parking in nearby residential areas if you can. Can I bring my dog? With the exception of assistance dogs on leads, we are not currently allowing dogs on site.
