Before the event, participants will receive a welcome pack with full joining instructions, together with an introduction to Bodmin's fascinating history and the heritage of the Mount Folly area, whose origins date back to the 5th century. This background information will enrich the experience and provide inspiration before you even arrive. Led by experienced artist Karen Howse, the trail visits some of Bodmin's most significant heritage locations around Mount Folly Square including visits to Bodmin Town Museum and the magnificent St Petroc's Church. Along the way, Karen will share stories and historical insights about the buildings and their surroundings, providing context and inspiration for your own creative work. During this three-hour trail you'll have the opportunity to: • Sketch architectural details and historic streetscapes. • Experiment with clay texture printing, taking impressions inspired by the unique surfaces and decorative features you discover. • Receive guidance, practical tips and encouragement from Karen, while enjoying the freedom to develop your own ideas and artistic style. Suitable for all experience levels, from complete beginners to experienced artists, this friendly workshop is perfect for anyone interested in art, local history or simply enjoying a creative morning outdoors.
