Level 3 Safeguarding Refresher Workshop

Face to Face refresher session covering knowledge, safeguarding tools, reporting and safeguarding self. Safeguarding is how we can protect children and young people and vulnerable adults from abuse or neglect by the actions, or lack of actions, of another person. This half day update course is designed for all persons, no matter the field they are directly involved in, to refresh the safeguarding tools and knowledge that they have in a face to face session. It will remind the practitioner reporting the abuse how they can safeguard themselves, whilst seeking help and reporting the incident identified. We will review and update our knowledge of: • Safeguarding legislation and guidance • Indicators of abuse or neglect • Making judgements • Communication • Roles and responsibilities • Sharing of information • Dealing with and reporting of allegations and complaints • Awareness of lessons learned from serious case reviews and Ofsted briefings • Consider topical safeguarding concerns and developments.
