But they were told they were too sensitive, too emotional, lazy, shy, dramatic, disorganised or simply needed to try harder. Many spent years masking their struggles, people-pleasing, battling exhaustion and burnout, without ever understanding why. At Inspiring Women Network, we believe every woman deserves to understand her own health, have access to evidence-based information, and feel seen, heard and believed. That's why we're delighted to welcome Dr Kim Collett for the next session in our Women's Health Series. 🌿 Neurodivergent Women Drawing on both research and lived experience, Dr Collett will explore: ✨ Why girls and women are so often diagnosed late, misdiagnosed or missed altogether. ✨ Masking, burnout and people-pleasing. ✨ Hormones, perimenopause and how they can affect neurodivergent women. ✨ The impact on education, work, relationships and everyday life. ✨ Mothering as a neurodivergent woman and raising neurodivergent children. ✨ Common myths and misconceptions surrounding neurodiversity. This will be an interactive session combining research, storytelling and discussion, creating a space where neurodivergent women can feel understood, ask questions and connect with others. In her work as a tutor and lecturer, she teaches education, research, inclusion and social work. Her passion for inclusion comes from her own experiences as a disabled and neurodivergent woman and mother.
