Logos Accra Circle – Back-to-School Community Outreach

Over the past few months, the Logos Ghana Circle has explored digital literacy, online safety, digital identity, responsible participation in the digital world, and financial resilience. In our previous session, we explored financial literacy, budgeting, saving, responsible investing, and how to recognize financial scams. We also introduced the idea of taking these lessons beyond the Circle and sharing them with young people in the wider community. This month, we move from learning to community action through a Back-to-School Community Outreach. As students return to school, this initiative will provide an opportunity for Circle members to support young people while sharing practical knowledge that can help them navigate both their education and the digital world more safely. The outreach will combine back-to-school support with digital and financial awareness, covering practical topics such as budgeting and responsible spending, recognizing fake scholarships and job opportunities, identifying online scams, protecting personal information, and making safer decisions when using digital and financial platforms. Circle members will engage with a defined group of young people and provide practical back-to-school support, such as essential learning materials, while also sharing knowledge that students can apply throughout the school year. The goal is not only to support students as they return to school, but to encourage confidence, responsible decision-making, and greater awareness of the opportunities and risks that come with participating in an increasingly digital world. Everyone is welcome to join, volunteer, contribute resources, or support the initiative. Join us as we continue to learn, share, and take practical action in our community.
