【如何成為大奚山人魚】環境舞動工作坊 Becoming a Lantau Mermaid: A Site-specific Movement Work

梁海頤 Alysa Leung Public ticket sales open at 5pm on 25 October. 「老萬山中多盧亭，雌雄一一皆人形。」——《盧亭詩》 如果「盧亭」會跳舞，那會是一隻怎樣的舞？ 過去一年，藝術家走訪泰國、印尼與日本，向當地的人魚傳說與傳統舞蹈取經，在流動中想像屬於香港人魚的「流動身體」。 來到盧亭的發源地大嶼山，在海邊放慢呼吸，連結這片傳說中的人魚聚居地，細聽亞洲各地的海洋神話與探索旅程。在藝術家的引領下親身演繹各種人魚舞姿，共同創作屬於自己的人魚舞，用身體連結想像海洋神話，在岸邊來一場「祭典」。 ‘Among the peaks of old Wanshan / Many Lo Tings reside / They take on a human shape or form / Male and female ones alike.’ — Qu Dajun, Lo Ting poem Half-fish, half-human, the mythical creature Lo Ting has long been associated with Lantau Island and its surrounding waters. If a Lo Ting could dance, what would it look like? Over the past year, Alysa Leung has been travelling between Thailand, Indonesia, and Japan, studying regional mermaid myths and seafaring practices to imagine up a way of embodying the Lo Ting form. In this 90-minute workshop, you’ll learn to move like a Lo Ting too. On the Lantau shores, we will slow our breath,hear mermaid myths from across Asia, and together co-create a site-specific mermaid dance. Through this somatic experience, we reconnect our bodies to the sea, transforming collective imagination into a contemporary ritual.
