Live at Eaton: A multisensory performance using Wagyu & snails to explore consumption. 逸東現場藝術祭：將和牛與蝸牛料理過程轉化為現場表演，多感官探討消費、勞動與款待。 The Wagyu / Escargot Affair 不純情吃和牛／蝸牛 Holmes Cheung 張利雄 & Cam Wong 黃麗茵 (HK) The Wagyu / Escargot Affair merges culinary labor, choreography, and live staging into a multisensory workshop-performance. Created by artist Holmes Cheung and artist-chef Cam Wong, the piece utilizes food preparation—specifically Wagyu beef and snails—as a performative act to explore themes of consumption, slow time, labor, and shared hospitality. *The performance will be followed by a post-performance dialogue with the artist, conducted in Cantonese. 《不純情吃和牛／蝸牛》將烹飪勞動、舞蹈編排與現場調度熔為一爐，構成一場多感官的工作坊表演。由跨界藝術家張利雄與藝術家兼廚師黃嘉藍合作呈獻，作品以和牛與蝸牛的料理過程為現場媒介，深入探討消費文化、慢速時間、飲食勞動與款待之道。 *演出結束後將設有演後談（以廣東話進行）。 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Presented by Eaton HK, Live at Eaton is a new contemporary performance festival expanding the boundaries of performance in Hong Kong. Beyond mainstream theatre and dance, it treats performance as a tool for knowledge production and community building—merging choreography, materiality, research, lived experience, and identity. Festival Theme: Daily Practice: Staging Self, Objects, and Others Initiated by co-directors Tang Fukuen and Joseph Chen, the inaugural edition examines the labor, habits, and rituals of daily life as performative acts. It explores how repetitive actions shape selfhood, body-material relations, and social conditions. This edition proposes an experimental "workshop performance" format, blending interactive education with live art where collective learning becomes a creative, critical, and communal experience.
