For Youth Conducted in English Self-expression is one of the most basic human needs and a central component for maintaining health, building resilience, and nurturing mental, spiritual, and emotional well-being. Many find journaling an accessible and pleasurable practice, and this workshop is ideal for those who want to deepen their practice by expanding their relationship with the vessel itself: the book. Participants will be led through the process of making their own journal in the Coptic binding style. Coptic binding is an enduring technique rooted in some of the earliest recorded examples of bookbinding. We hope that those who join us will feel connected to the wisdom in this tradition and, as a result, more connected to their own practice. All materials will be provided, and those joining will leave with an experience of learning, mindful practice, and a new skill they can use again and again. 自我表達是人類最基本的需求之一,亦是維持健康、建立韌性,以及培養精神、心靈與情緒健康的核心元素。許多人認為寫日記是一種容易入手且令人愉快的方式,而這個工作坊特別適合希望透過深化與「書本」這個載體本身的關係,從而深化其寫作習慣的人士。 參加者將在導師帶領下,以科普特裝訂法(Coptic binding)製作屬於自己的日記本。科普特裝訂法是一項歷久不衰的技藝,其根源可追溯至有記載以來最早期的裝訂技術之一。我們希望參加者能感受到這項傳統工藝中所蘊含的智慧,從而與自己的寫作習慣建立更深的連結。 所有材料將由主辦方提供,參加者除了獲得學習體驗及正念練習外,亦將學會一項可反覆運用的新技能。
