Connect with MTU: From Funding to Impact.

A 1-day practical workshop for MTU sector & placement partners across social, community, care, voluntary & public services Connect with MTU: From Funding to Impact How do you know which funder is right for your project? And how do you communicate your idea so that others can see its value? Join MTU for a practical, interactive one-day workshop exploring how to move from identifying a need to developing a strong project, finding the right funding or partnership route, and communicating its potential impact. Through practical exercises, table discussions, pitching and a Project Canvas, we’ll explore: • understanding funders and identifying the right funding route • communicating your project and demonstrating its value • stakeholder and partnership opportunities • project feasibility, risk and delivery • impact and sustainability beyond the funding application. Who is it for? The workshop is aimed at staff and volunteers working across the social, community, care, voluntary, charity, NGO and public service sectors, particularly those involved in developing projects, services, initiatives or funding proposals. You do not need to be an experienced grant writer. The workshop is suitable whether you are developing an early-stage idea, working on an existing project or responding regularly to funding opportunities. What will you take away? You’ll leave with a practical Project Canvas, a clearer understanding of funders and funding routes, tools for communicating your project, and ideas for developing impact, sustainability and partnerships. Funding decisions depend on factors including priorities, eligibility, geography, policy direction and available budgets. While no workshop can guarantee funding success, the aim is to give you practical tools and a reusable approach to developing stronger projects and funding proposals. Booking: Multiple people from the same organisation are very welcome to attend. Please note that each person must register separately, with one ticket per person at checkout. Refreshments & parking: Refreshments on arrival from 9.30am, and lunch will also be provided. Parking details will be sent to registered participants in advance of the event. The workshop has been developed collaboratively by colleagues from Faculty of Health and Social Sciences, Design Thinking, Service Design, TU-RISE Innovation & Entrepreneurship, and People & Culture at Munster Technological University, bringing together expertise to support organisations and communities across the region.
