Cosmic Connection! - A Vibes and Verses Writing Workshop

A small, sit-down writing workshop for people who like words. Organised as part of Spacefest festival 2026 Vibes and Verses: A space for word based creatives in Cork to share their art Come and write with us!!! This is a small, sit-down workshop for anyone who likes words. For people with notebooks full of poems, and people who've never picked up a pen. Starting from SpaceFest’s theme of Cosmic Cartography, we’ll use prompts and short exercises to map out what connects us: to each other, to where we’re from, and to whatever’s out there. You’ll leave with something new on the page, and you can share it with the room if you’d like to. No pressure either way. Our host: Emike Akagbosu is a poet who writes about family, nature, womanhood and human connection. Her debut pamphlet, Spinal Fusion and Other Ways to Stay Upright, is published by Fawn Press. She was shortlisted for the Heroica Poetry Prize, her work appears in their anthology Body Odyssey, and she has featured at poetry nights across London. The details • Sunday 8 November, 6pm to 9pm • Civic Trust House, 50 Pope’s Quay, Cork T23 R6XC • €5. There are only 20 places, so booking ahead is best.
